    • Laura A. Summey says

March 11, 2021 is the exact same puzzle as March 11, 2022! No, “I” haven’t. I been doing 2021 puzzles waiting for the new 2022 puzzles. Just so happens that I printed the March 11, 2021 to work on and when I started working on it; I thought, hey, I’m done this one before!

      • Laura, you do enough of these and you WILL have duplicates. I’ve been doing these puzzles for over 40 years and I too noticed the repeats. I just move on to the next one. Happy Puzzling 🙂

  7. Thank you everyone at freedailycrosswords.com. I’m sure the website is an invaluable help to many. The efforts of everyone involved – from puzzle creators to website maintainers and everyone in between – are appreciated here. Thank you again. God bless.
p.s. If anyone cannot print, please ask someone close to you to help. It is absolutely not something the folks at this website can help you with practically. Ask someone for help and then thank them.

  8. Your crosswords are great!! You do a wonderful service. Love ya.
I print them for relaxation and fun with my kids!!

  13. Laird White says

March ’22 puzzles are the right size. Many others are smaller and harder to read. Can you make all the larger size?
Love doing them, but hard time on older puzzles.
    Thanks

    • Increase the size of puzzle in “YOUR” printer settings. The puzzle creators have no way of changing this on your computer. I had to do it with mine and now all puzzles are the same size and fit within the page. Ask someone you know that is computer savvy and get them to help you get squared away.

  14. First of all, you folks producing these puzzles are wonderful. They are great. I find it embarrassing to read complaints from users. This is a free service and every user ought to accept the service with an open heart and great appreciation without complaining.
Now, I have a curiosity question.
On puzzle march 17, 20 across, hot and sultry, I tried to put “tropical” but it did not fit.
It turned out to be “topical” instead.
Please, someone, anyone, explain why topical is correct for hot and sultry.
    This is NOT a complaint.
Just curious. I’m sure I missed the connection.
    Thank you fellow puzzlers.

    • HEAR HEAR!!! lol…I notice that and changed it…I believe it was just one of those human errors that most of us fall prey to here and there.

  15. Anna, if your comment related to my question about hot and sultry, thank you for your comment.
I want to take this opportunity to post this follow up comment to my own post.
I believe the connection between the clue “hot and sultry” and the answer of “Topical” was correct and I just failed to realize it.
I now believe that the clue “hot and sultry”, refers to any situation where something such as a new toy, or new technology, or new food item, tv show, style , car etc etc, takes the world by storm and is very popular and thus can be described as “HOT”.
If it is thus hot then it is topical or prominent.
Certain new inventions that are super popular can be described as sexy and thus “hot and sultry”.
Keep on puzzling. It’s hot and sultry.
