I always used to look forward to getting the daily paper when I was a younger woman. Doing the crosswords became something of a routine for me, one that persisted from my teenaged years into adulthood. As I got older, however, it became more and more of a hassle to grab a newspaper every day. On top of that I was getting most of my news from online sources. It got to the point that the only reason I even wanted a newspaper was for the crosswords. I was starting to consider just giving up on crossword puzzles.
However, one day I had the idea to just print crosswords. I went online to see if I could find any Crosswords to Print and I came across freedailycrosswords.com. Wow, what a lifesaver! It’s so much easier! Before discovering this site I had to plan a stop in my daily routine to purchase a newspaper. On days when I was running behind for work I would have to cut the newsstand run out, and I didn’t like that one little bit.
This is no longer an issue anymore thanks to freedailycrosswords.com! I just go straight to my office, then go to the site and find new crosswords to print! No hassle, no worrying about the time, just straight up crossword bliss. I’m not even missing the crosswords in the papers I used to get…there is an updated database of major newspapers’ crossword puzzles! Both the LA Times Crossword and USA Today crossword puzzles are uploaded on the site…both of which have always been amongst my favorites.
There’s also some cool other stuff on the site. I had a friend who was seriously into Sudoku and would constantly try to get me to play, but I just never did until finding this site. Sudoku became something I found incredibly fun while looking to print crosswords. You’re given a grid with numbers in it and tasked with completing a numerical sequence from one to nine without repeating any number. It can get insanely difficult.
There’s also Play Four. This one is a fun time waster…it involves a four by four grid and eight clues. Four of the clues are for the horizontal grid spaces and the other four are for the vertical. The clues describe a word, and you look to complete the grid using words that correspond to the horizontal and vertical clues simultaneously. It’s a blast and can be quite tricky.
Word Roundup is a twist on word searches and Crossword Puzzles. Instead of being given the words to find in a word search, you’re given clues to what words are hidden similar to a crossword puzzle. Honestly, if you are a fan of crosswords, (and who isn’t?!), this game is a pretty natural evolution.
However, at the end of the day there just is not any suitable replacement for a good old fashioned crossword puzzle, and that remains the main reason why I return to the site everyday. Fresh challenges are presented daily, and if I don’t have the time to sit and do them at my computer I just print them out and relax on my own time with them. The database feel endless, and everyday there’s more and more to indulge in. This site really lets me relive those feelings of my younger days but without the hassles imposed by my daily working life. It is a pleasure to find a site so incredibly easy to use and endlessly entertaining. I couldn’t be happier with it.
